I think I may have actually taken the title of worst blogger ever for the month of December in 2011, NOT ONE POST!! Shocking. Have no fear though, my new years resolution was to blog more and better.
So, I'm going to post about my excellent little holiday I've just had for new years eve in St. Ives, Cornwall. My friends parents have just bought a cottage down there and before they do it up they let us have a fun few days/party there! So much fun. St. Ive's comes to life on new years eve, it was like one massive street party with fireworks at midnight and everyone's in fancy dress...except us. I made friends with a pirate, a man in an all in one, all the King's horses and all the King's men. The town in the day is so beautiful aswell, pasties galore, cream teas, beautiful sand and lots of seagulls...perfect little English seaside. I want to retire there.
On new years eve we didn't get majorly dressed up as we knew we'd be out on the streets at midnight but I did wear my new rather wonderful leopard print dress from Topshop. It's long at the back and short at the front, a design I'm becoming slightly obsessed with recently. I also wore my bargain boots from River Island which were £20 in the sale, so I had to buy them!
I've also taken to wearing various long necklaces with crosses on recently. Topshop and Miss Selfridge have a great collection and they just make any soft dress look a bit more edgy. This is the one I'm wearing in the top picture from Topshop...
I love the little tag thing that hangs from it too. When I was taking my little midnight dip in the sea I wore my trusty silver jumper from h&m, leather jacket and the best fur collar ever from h&m about 5 years ago. Every girl needs the perfect fur collar in the winter. There's only one other thing I'm really lusting after at the moment and that's some metallic jeans! Rumi Neeley always seems to have amazing pairs and I'm determined to find the perfect pair of silver ones. I've been tipped off that Zara has a few pairs in and of course I'll have a look in good old Toppers. When I find the them they'll have a whole post to themselves.
Well, I think that'll do it for now. I need to get better at taking outfit photos and posting them which is hard when your camera's pretty rubbish so bear with me. I'll leave you with a photo of me at my happiest...by the sea, full of roast dinner with my bestie on new years day....Happy New Year xx
