Mixed Emotions

So, I've had a pretty crazy weekend full of friends, eating, dancing and more eating. My school reunion on Friday night was better than I ever could have imagined. It makes you realise you are the person you are today because of the years you spent with theses girls making memories together. We laughed so much at old stories and songs we wrote in lessons that my face was in serious pain by the end of the night. I sugget everyone should meet up with a person or a few people you haven't seen for a while and spend the evening remenicising, not showing off to each other about what you've done and what you've got now, but just enjoying each others company and remembering the people you were. In the words of Bob Marley it 'satifisies my soul'.

The horrible news this weekend was of course the death of Amy Winehouse and the massacre in Oslo. The death of Amy hit me harder than I thought it would. She was such a lost soul with an awesome talent and she'd had some amazing opportunities in life to get where she was and yet she spent the whole time taking substances that made her forget where she was and how lucky she'd been. It baffles me. I just hope she rests more peacefully up there than she did down here. The news from Oslo also messed me up. I cannot imagine how terrified all those kids must have been. It was like something from a film. The image of all the bodies lying on the shore and Breivik walking through them all with his gun in hand was harrowing. Kids having to pretend they were dead, hide in a freezer or escape on a boat leaving their friends behind to die by the hands of this maniac doesn't bear contemplating. My thoughts are most definatley with anyone who lost someone this weekend, through whatever means.
I leave you with Amy's appearance on Jools Holland in 2003, I saw this and fell in love. Frank was a revolutionary album and always will be.

Me and Ed.

I did a shoot for an online fashion magazine a few weeks ago and all the shots are up and running...www.stunnz.com. Here's my fave shot with the beautiful Miss Laura Coleman, she was Miss England 2008.

In other news (a lot happened today) Ed Sheeran has released his new video for 'you need me, I don't need you' and it's a blinder. Adore this guy and he used to help with Youth Music Theatre, massive kudos. Ch, ch, ch, check it out.

Panic Buying...

Panic buying may become a regular feature on my blog as it is something I do all too often. I have just bought this pretty awesome dress from motelrocks.com for a school reunion on Friday. Gonna team it with a red lip, leather jacket and wedges. Will do an outfit post at the weekend.

In the beginning...

So I have finally started my blog. It's only taken me 6 months of talking about it and a week of starting up my laptop only to get distracted by asos and you tube, but here it is. I'll mostly be writing about music, food, fashion and the weekly goings on of my life, with a shameless plug for any gigs I'm playing thrown in for good measure. Hope you enjoy. I'll leave you with four seriously talented, young, British artists as I am slightly obsessed with this song at the moment and all of their work as individuals, seems the perfect way to start my blog. Young Guns. Peace out.
